A year themed around dynamic changes, 2021 brought new challenges but also exciting developments for Mappedin and our customers. Here is our latest year in review.
This blog will focus on our work over the past year in developing new products, creating new features, and working with some exciting new venues. Contact us today to learn more.
We had an incredible year in 2021. Here are some of the highlights:
We now power indoor maps across 755,000,000+ square feet (that’s equivalent to 13,108 football fields!)
Mappedin works with businesses in 43 countries around the globe
1,100+ venues use Mappedin to power their indoor mapping experiences
150+ venues using Mappedin SDKs
250+ venues using Mappedin Digital Directory
650+ venues using Mappedin Responsive Web App
Mappedin’s SDKs allow you to build a completely custom indoor mapping experience, regardless of industry or use case. This year, we released V 4.0 of our SDKs, providing our customers with tons of great new features. In addition to the familiar components found in our original SDKs, V4 users can enjoy custom starting positions, multi-destination support, advanced markers, follow mode, and best-in-class performance.
In 2021, we also focused on improving the development experience so that building your custom solutions is even easier. With this, we developed a React Native SDK, introduced TypeScript, improved documentation, and more. Learn more about the launch on our blog.
This year, Mappedin reached a huge milestone in receiving our SOC2 (Type 1) report, which validates the strength and effectiveness of our software and organizational controls to safeguard customer data. This report looks at the security, privacy, availability, and confidentiality of that data and ultimately ensures that the highest standard is maintained.
We plan to continue growing our policies and procedures around information security. This initiative is central to what we’re doing at Mappedin, empowering our customers to own their maps and associated data.
Over the past year, we’ve added features to make indoor mapping faster, more efficient, and more insightful for Mappedin customers. Here’s how:
Save My Section is a feature of Mappedin’s Responsive Web App V2 that allows users to pin the location of their section on the map, allowing for easy navigation to and from their seat throughout the duration of their visit. This feature provides enhanced wayfinding and guest experiences.
Mappedin’s Digital Directory enables users to search, discover, and navigate the indoors. Directory Ads provide venues with a simple way to monetize directory signage during idle use or user interactions. This out-of-the-box functionality allows Mappedin customers to quickly and easily schedule display ads and videos directly from the Map Editor.
The Map Upload Portal allows users to seamlessly import the CAD file of their venue into the Mappedin CMS. The CAD processor imports the geometry and associated IDs from your file in order to generate a copy of our building layout in the Map Editor. From here, Mappedin customers can use the platform to edit and deploy their indoor maps.
We’ve made changes to our Analytics Dashboard to better serve our customers and provide easier ways of accessing valuable location data. Read our Product 101: Mappedin Analytics blog to discover great new features and how this data can help your business.
