Customer insights

During the month of September, our team had a chance to connect with many of our customers through a town hall format. It’s clear that a notable trend across the retail industry is that of mission-based shopping, which involves shoppers who have a specific product or retailer in mind and are set on getting in and out of the store, mall, or outlet as quickly as possible. 

Regarding indoor mapping, there’s interest from our customers in taking their venue maps further. For example, using the Mappedin platform to:

  • Manage both an operational and visitor-facing map

  • Utilize Digital out of Home (DooH) advertising on directory displays

  • Implement voice-activated directories

  • Use Mobile Pass for directory to mobile hand-off through QR code

  • Offer “save my parking spot” functionality
