MAPIC Recap: Highlights of 2023

As we continue to wrap up the remainder of 2023, we find ourselves reflecting on the whirlwind of innovation, connections, and insights that defined MAPIC 2023 in Cannes, France. From understanding trends like sustainable growth and AI’s role in retail to groundbreaking technologies, the event was a testament to the dynamic landscape we navigate. We’ll share some of our key learnings and takeaways from the conference:

Retail Trends 

We immersed ourselves in the pulse of industry trends at MAPIC. From industry-leading retail experiences to AI’s role in retail and lifestyle spaces, the tradeshow gave us insights on upcoming trends and understanding of what our customers are considering when thinking about creating world-class retail and lifestyles in the EMEA region.

Networking: Building Bridges and Creating Opportunities 

Connections were the currency of the event. Being part of the Innovation Forum, we engaged with industry leaders, exchanged ideas with startups, and conversed with prospective partners and integrators. Shoutout to our booth neighbors, Giftify and VionVision, for carrying great energy throughout the week! We met with some of our existing customers including Via Outlets, JLL, Cenomi, CBRE, and McArthurGlen to name a few! 

One of our account executives, Briton Burgio, spoke at the innovation pitch this year to highlight our top use cases and talk about how indoor mapping can impact your spaces. 

Exclusive Product Previews 

The tradeshow floor was a stage for innovation. We gave MAPIC attendees an exclusive look at our latest directory redesign and bespoke directory solution specifically designed for malls and retail spaces. We also gave live demos of Mappedin Web to show  attendees how easy indoor navigation can be and how we can leverage our technology to give retail and lifestyle experience the best in class. We want to thank our partner, Lunar Media, for providing the kiosks for our booth – they drew in curious attendees and were a great starting point for conversations.

Looking Ahead 

Our experience at MAPIC was nothing short of extraordinary. We express our gratitude to the organizers, partners, fellow exhibitors, and every attendee who contributed to the success of it. Our focus now shifts to developing our newest directories, updating customers on how to leverage new product features, expanding into different industries, and showcasing Mappedin Maker to all mapping use cases while leveraging the momentum gained at the tradeshow to drive innovation in the coming months.
